Greetings Family,
We pray this letter finds you in great health. The Miami/Fort Lauderdale, FL Chapter is thrilled and honored to host the 41st Jenkins Family Reunion! We hope you are just as excited and are making plans to be in attendance. We have worked diligently to plan a fun filled three-day weekend of family bonding. The festivities will commence on Friday morning with a beach day, so we encourage all family members to arrive early and stay until Sunday morning to participate in our family worship service.
Included in this packet is the itinerary for the 41st Jenkins Family Reunion three-day weekend events.
The host hotel for the 41st Jenkins Family Reunion is The Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Marina. Our family group rate is $159 per night (plus tax). This includes complimentary continental breakfast for two.

Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Marina is located in the heart of 17th Street’s vibrant Yachting District. Renaissance is 4 miles from Fort Lauderdale International airport and 5 miles from Fort Lauderdale Beach. Explore the beautiful city by hopping on Fort Lauderdale’s complimentary Sun Trolley located just steps away from the hotel. Ride to enjoy the beautiful beaches, the upscale Galleria Mall or to dine and shop on trendy Las Olas Boulevard.
The hotel does not provide shuttle services to the airport. Please make plans to rent a car or schedule a pickup with Uber/Lyft. Transportation will be provided for Friday’s Beach Day and the picnic on Saturday. The Meet & Greet and Banquet will be held at the hotel.
As the LEGAGY continues, we will always honor and remember our loved ones who have paved the way and have now transitioned. In memory of our family members who we’ve lost since July 2022, we would like to present a photo/video presentation to honor those family members. When you mail your reunion packet, please include any picture(s) along with the name(s) and family branch of the person that you would like to add to the video presentation. 12:00-1:30pm Jungle Queen Narrated Sightseeing Cruise
1:45pm Departure back to hotel
Reunion fees do not include Friday Early Arrival Beach Day/ Sightseeing Cruise.
Everyone is responsible for purchasing their own food and tickets for the cruise.
